We're heading into our final stop this morning before heading back to Quito for the evening, but we've saved the best for last--if you count giant tortoises as the best and you should.

If you thought Kitty wasn't taking Lexi to see giant tortoises you were wrong. Half the fun of these trips was getting pictures of Lexi with things she'd have no clue about later.

For her part, Lexi liked these guys better than day, getting in the pool.

"So," said Rosa, who didn't think the whole taking-pictures-with-the-giant-tortoises thing was adorable, shut up, "how do you think she's liking this trip that she probably won't even remember?"

"She doesn't seem to hate it," Kitty answered. "Anything that she can watch, she likes. Like giant swimming cats and tortoises, apparently."

"...I think I missed the giant swimming cats," Rosa said, after a moment. Quite possibly to make sure she either heard that right or hadn't actually just forgotten about them, both of which seemed completely plausible.

"It seemed to be with one of the students. It was just swimming around in the pool on the ship," Kitty said, casually. "Pretty sure the cat itself wasn't actually a student."

Now that she thought about it, Rosa did feel like she could vaguely recall one of the students in her summer class with Blackstone always having a giant cat with her.

Which was, you know, the sort of detail that most people didn't recall just vaguely.

"I bet the staff here is going to just love what that's going to do to the pool filters," Rosa noted.

And then wondered if this school had ever gone and taken a trip to the same place twice, because she could definitely see their groups being the sort that weren't often invited back....

"Maybe," said Rosa, "if the tip is 'If you see Fandom High, just say no.' But, hey, at least there's no waterfalls for anyone to go down in barrels during this one."

Just...large cats in the pool, a sharkman who kept leaping off the side of the boat, and squirrels infesting the whole place.

To name a few.

Honesetly, though, this time around had been incredibly tame, it almost made Rosa a bit wary of the rest of the day.

"No, but the dean still ended up shot out of a cannon so we can't go thinking we're ever getting a fully normal trip," she said, scooping Lexi up before she could try to pull on the tortoise somehow.

"There was also something about him and a coconut bra in the radio notes this morning," Rosa said without even bothering mask her faint shudder. "But if it all wants to concentrate on him, I am completely fine with that."

Okuyasu was 100% taking selfies with giant tortoises and trying to send them to Josuke to taunt him.

That was also 100% not working, because Josuke was in 1999 and had a 1999 cell phone.

So instead Okuyasu was going to have to save those pictures and just taunt Josuke with them in person. Because when your best friend is creeped out by turtles, you take pictures of you hanging out with giant ones.

Anakin had taken multiple pictures with the tortoises and was now trying to figure out how to get the enormous plushy tortoises he'd bought for Juliet, Christopher, baby Jaina and Jacen, Ben's kids and Jaina's twins back to the bus without using the Force.

Right now it involved a lot of banging into things and cursing.

Nina laughed even as she hurried over to take some of the toys from him.

"Who are all of these for?????????????" she wondered. "They can't all be for Juliet and Christopher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

At least, like, she hoped not.

She'd let him sound totally uncool.

Nina didn't really expect him to. It still baffled her that Prompto had been mad about the way she'd left.

Was Keyleth out observing the giant tortoises? Of course she was, because half the reason for her going on this trip would be wasted otherwise.

It was going to be so cool turning into one of those!
