Lake Hotel Egilsstadir, Iceland

Welcome to another morning in Iceland, Fandomites! Get your fill of breakfast, and maybe grab a Thermos of coffee (coffee, Dee, oh my god) for the road, because it's going to be another busy day!

Kat was surprising herself by really enjoying this trip, and wanting to learn more about the culture than see waterfalls, maybe. So things like the buffet were right up her alley, letting her try some things she might not have otherwise.

She had a plate and a book to read that she'd picked up on the way, and if it turned out she didn't like either she probably wouldn't admit it.

At this point, Sweet Dee was kind of picking through the food a little distastefully, and frowning deep in thought at her plate as she wondered if she could successfully pull off 'spraining her ankle' or something. She'd just about had it with all these hikes and waterfalls and middle-of-no-where villages and had only gained more evidence that anywhere outside of Philly pretty much sucked.

Hannibal was delighted by the buffet, and struck up a conversation with the young lady tending it which led to striking up a conversation with one of the chefs. He was in his element.

And yes, absolutely getting an entire carafe of coffee for the trip.

As if Kanan could pass up the opportunity to try a local pastry? He'd been neglecting his sweet tooth since this trip began, and the chance to take a seat in a quiet corner of the café and just decompress for a little while was much appreciated.

After all, it'd be back on the damn bus before long, anyway.

Quiet, until now. Because Summer was totally going to snag up a chance to catch up with her bestie between Instagram updates. And since it was Thursday and they'd usually have their class right now, it seemed an appropriate time, anyway.

"'Sup, currently-not-BDG?" she asked, plopping down in a seat across from him and melting into it all relaxed-like almost immediately. It was funny, really, how one could spend so much time sitting in a bus and then find relief in sitting more, on the simple fact that this sitting wasn't on a bus. "What'd you make of Iceland so far?"

Sabine had less interest in the farmhouse than most of the other stuff they'd seen, so she was fine ducking into the cafe. And even if she was only getting a coffee and a pastry, at least she was eating normally instead of running off to see more stuff and forgetting.

After some considerable debate, Prompto decided he was going to go ahead and plurge in one of those pastries, but he wasn't going to spend too much time eating it. He wanted to get back out there and get more shots of the farm, which he couldn't help but find fascinating. Look. He was a city boy, all these rustic locales and wide-open spaces sort of blew his mind a little bit and he didn't think he was ever going to get enough of them, and was going to soak them up as much as he could.

Because it was still during the day.

The thought of this place at night was terrifying and made him want to scurry back toward wherever the highest concentration of his fellow Fandomites might be, but for now, it was sort of incredible.

For a girl who specialized in explosions, the rumbling from something natural like this was pretty neat.

Maybe she was coming up with ideas for waterfall-colored explosions.

Despite the cold, which he almost felt he was getting a little bit used to by now (he was, if anything, incredibly adaptable), Sidon had been enjoying himself immensely on this trip, but he couldn't help thinking it was a very good thing that it was nearly over, because somehow...somehow, this place continued to provide him with something that was miraculously more enticing and tempting for him than everything else before.

Because this was a waterfall! And Sidon knew waterfalls!

The only ones he could think of that even came close to this one were perhaps the Akkala Falls, with that wonderful lake at their bottom, or the impressive Floria Falls to the south. And neither of them made the ground rumble like this!

If he was going to try to tackle any waterfall here, this would surely have to be the one!

This trip was turning out to be quite the test of his resolve, and he only wished he could use it as an example for whenever the Elders went on about how he had no impulse control or patience.

He probably wouldn't be un-tempted by seeing Beaker meep on past with a barrel and a safety helmet, then, huh?

Beaker. Beeeeaker. Don't do the thing.

Something this momentous should be preceded by a speech of some kind, but Beaker was kind of on the clock here.

He waited until Anakin was distracted by something, checked his safety helmet, jumped into the barrel and wheeeeeee, over the edge!

Hopefully Sidon was taking careful notations.

Geothermal fields smelled gross! But they also looked great, so Sabine was absolutely checking it out.

Fine, Earth, you weren't boring.

Peebee was busy grilling the guides for every scrap of information she could, with a hyperactive intensity that seemed to be scaring them a little bit. She'd be over it in a few days but right now she was leaning hard into her geology obsession.

Rosa had been mostly elbowed aside laying pretty low for most of this, as one would probably expect from her, but she had to admit, all of this was pretty dope, and she continued to just be content and laid back and soaking it all in like she'd totally been doing this whole time.
