Athens, Thursday Morning

That morning, the school packed up on Zakynthos and hopped into a portal, en route to Athens.

Too bad someone hadn't checked the itinerary.

The sun shone high in the sky and you could still hear the surf in the distance, that was the difference. But all you needed to do was see one donkey cart and realize: you were far away from home.

Welcome to Athens, sometime before 400 B.C.

Steve burst out laughing. "I can picture him in here," he said. "It works for him. Might be the only place with the right proportions for the guy."

"The people are a little short for him," Tony said, nudging Steve with his elbow.

Steve grinned. "That's a thing? 'Shoulder-y'?"

"It's totally a thing," Tony replied, tapping him on the shoulder to emphasize it. "Both of you are pretty triangular."

"Which was quite a thing to get used to," Steve said, "having been pretty...wet noodle-y the rest of my life."

"Not really," Steve chuckled, settling into the water and doing some quality people watching.

"Maybe it was your feline grace," he continued, slipping in carefully after him. "Bit like the tub in Italy, hmm?"

Steve's ears went red at some of those memories. "Maybe not exactly?" he hedged.

"You can get me back for it on the next vacation," he promised. Like he was capable of blushing like that.

Sure. Just shove all your friends together into one room.
