Last night on Necker island, so the locals had chosen to make it a worthwhile one.

A catamaran was leaving for a nearby island soon, to offer the visitors one last wonderful night in paradise.

The Great House

The Great House is the hub of all things Necker Island. Not only does it contain many gorgeous open bedrooms, outfitted with enormous terraces, but the house's perch on the island's highest points also grants it some incredibly scenic lounging possibilities. In fact, up on the roof, you'll find a jacuzzi big enough for four at a time.

Don't fight over it.

Rooms

Every private room has a double or twin beds, depending on what's suitable and/or funny which one you're assigned. Every room comes with a private en-suite bathroom and a beautiful view of the beach on either side of the island.

Dining

The Great House has a spacious dining room, where private chefs serve different takes on local cuisine every evening. There's seating area outside as well, and the woman behind the bar will make you any number of cocktails if you ask nicely.

Terrace

The Great House comes with a wrap-around terrace that supports hammocks and cosy sofas. There are board games and even chess sets available - and a fully-stocked bar.

The Great Room

In the center of the Great House, you'll find the deck, which provides a stunning scenic view of the surrounding area, more seating, a pool table and a piano. Also, champagne. And a lot of it.

And if you take the stairs up, you'll find a four-person jacuzzi. Nice!

Infinity Pool

Just outside the house sits an enormous infinity pool, which remains warm even in the nighttime hours. Jump in, give it a try! There'll be plenty more swimming to do elsewhere for the rest of the week, but there's no place like home.

Dining at the Crocodile Pavillion

Gather up at this beautiful pavillion by the pool for an extra-special dinner tonight. The floating sushi bar has come back in style today, in an extra-large kayak right alongside the pavillion. Get your choice of sushi - vegetarian or not - and settle down at the tables. There's Caribbean music, too.

Vegetarian or not, there would be no sushi for Tali, but that didn't mean she couldn't stare longingly at it. (What? It still blew her mind that people could get that visually creative with food.)

Anyway, there was music, so she'd be there for the dancing.

The Beach House

The Beach House is still open for all of your entertainment needs! Grab a drink at the bar, play some pool, or have a go at a board game.

Off-Island

Catamaran to Eustatia Island

A few hours before the sun begins to set, a large catamaran boat pulls up to the pier. It - and its fully-stocked on-board bar - is there to take you to Eustatia Island, a nearby islet that's considered one of the most beautiful islands on Earth. It's owned by a private party, but tourists are welcome.

So lay back in the netting at the front of the catamaran - or sit at a bench on steadier ground - have a beer, and enjoy the sight of the water and the island up ahead.

Eustatia Island

Beautiful Eustatia Island is famous for its flora, and there are many hiking trails available, both for traversing when it's still light or with a guide in the dark. There are also beaches to enjoy, of course, but there are yoga classes and other fitness options for anyone who might've missed that at Necker.

Above all, enjoy the views. A sunset over Eustatia isn't something to miss.

Cosette wouldn't have passed up the catamaran trip for anything, and wasn't about to miss out on the hiking; she'd brought her camera along, and staked out a nice vantage point for herself along the trail so she could take approximately five billion pictures of the sunset.
