Another gorgeous sunrise means another beautiful day of vacation for the residents of Fandom, at least those who can get out of bed and make it outside.

Those who feasted on the seafood buffet last night might want to avoid the floating sushi today. There might just be too much of a good thing.

Surreal sitting there meant that once she did wake up, Cara didn't have to expend much effort to reach across to play with her hair, which considering how loose limbed and lazy she felt, could only be a good thing. "So a little furry drunk told me you were tormenting one of my students," she said.

You probably weren't supposed to sound so approving about that, Cara, even if it was Kuzco.

"That's one of yours?" Surreal gave a snort of amusement. "Sugar, you must be going soft in your old age if he's not used to women telling him to fuck off."

Cara let out a snort of her own. "I've gone soft if I actually have to say it."

Her fingers automatically started parting Surreal's hair into sections for braiding. "He's under the impression he's an emperor," she said. "Still, hasn't realised how little that means on the island, especially now he's a llama."

"And I'm the queen of the courtesans," she scoffed. "That's a llama? I thought he was a very ugly donkey."

"Not queen of the assassins?" Cara teased.

"He's definitely got the entitled attitude of royalty," she added. "Yeah, llama, he hasn't shut up about it since it happened."

"Assassins don't generally meet to compare our going rates," Surreal laughed. "While whores will talk money any chance they get to make sure no one's getting stiffed."

"Financially stiffed."
