Pacific Princess, Wednesday Evening

Back at sea and pointed toward Mazatlan, the Loooove Boat continues its series of passenger costume and activity fun with another theme intimately connected to the Mexican Riviera: Square Dance Night!

No, you're not allowed to ask. Or, well, you can, but Your Bartender will just snort and point to Your Yeoman Purser, who will shake his head and blame it on Your Cruise Director, who will try not to roll her eyes as she directs you to the Gift Shoppe where you can rent all the plaid, gingham, and floofy ruffled skirts you can stand, if for some reason you were silly enough not to bring your own.

On the bright side, at least this fashion hasn't changed that much in the last 40 years? ...Because it already looks 40 years out of date.

Hatter was more than happy to make friends with strangers. They loved his fat, he complimented their hair and there was bonding all around!

Flick had avoided the Coral Room since he really didn't want to sit with strangers. He'd wandered up to the Carousel Bar instead and ordered a water.

Then, he took a seat and tried to look sulky and brooding enough to keep people away from sitting with him who he didn't know.

Disco Dancing [2/25 Evening] - Princess Lounge

[personal profile] smilestopscars 2015-02-25 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Ezra had had a very productive day off the boat. So naturally he was spending his evening at the Princess Lounge, spending money that technically didn't belong to him, even though it was far too late for its original owners to complain about it now.

His glass didn't actually even have any alcohol in it. But he would probably not admit that to anyone.

Nathan wasn't really there to drink but he'd grabbed something anyway before sitting down and looking slightly uncomfortable.

That was just his way.

Anders looked half-uncomfortable and half-bemused as he slid into the seat across from Nathan, albeit for slightly different reasons. He'd agreed out of sheer curiosity as to what would happen to help Hannibal and Karla with the kitchen takeover, which promised to be either fun ... or a complete disaster.

He was trying not to think about the potential for disaster. The teachers would take the fall anyhow, right?

"Hi," he began. "So guess who got asked to help our teachers be delinquents tonight?"

How had Ronan resisted the allure of square dancing? Very fucking easily. He'd immediately gone to the bar, ordering a drink and starting a tab.

While this boat lacked a lot, the one good thing is that he didn't even have to worry about his phone and Declan's messages since the thing didn't work anyway.

Elsa wasn't going to dance, no. Elsa was really not the dancing sort, ever. But she had found since getting on the boat that disco was just... fun... and it was good for helping her keep her mind off of Barry and how absolutely frustrated she was with him right now.

So there she was, sitting at the bar with bare hands, cradling a tall glass of the most well-chilled virgin sangria in the world in her fingers, and quietly committing the lyrics of Dancing Queen to memory.

She was going to enjoy the rest of this cruise, so help her.

Jalian found this place by accident, wondering what all the noise was about. It had sounded almost like a ken Selvren celebration.

It wasn't. She stared at it in fascinated horror.

Oo, dancing! Yay!

Okay, this wasn't quite Cecil's usual thing, but they were calling out instructions - it wasn't like it was hard to figure out!

He didn't have a string tie (yet), but he was out there having fun!

"...wow," was all Travis could think to say. How he always ended up in places where there was some insane dancing, he didn't know.

He tried to stay away from the dance floor and firmly against the wall. His wallflower would be good and strong tonight.

The disco music just wasn't Cosette's style, but she was in the mood to go out and partake of some sort of entertainment spectacle tonight.

This . . . was not at all what she had expected, and she was wide-eyed with incredulity, but seemed to be enjoying it nonetheless.

Or being amused by how odd it was. She wasn't quite sure.

Kitty was exactly enough of a dork enough to actually join the people on the dance floor for this. She did skip the floofy skirt, though, mainly because she knew Clint would have reason to mock her forever.

And once she'd had enough, she went back up to watch for a while. This wasn't so bad.

"Dear Maker."

Anders had thought the disco performance on Monday had been the worst thing imaginable. It turned out he'd been so very wrong-- he'd take sequins overflying petticoats any day.

He found a place to lean where he seemed unlikely to be called into the dance and watched with a distinctly skeptical eye.

Wow. Wooooooow.

"I don't know if this is better or worse than the original show," he finally commented.

It was highly unlikely Obi-Wan's forehead would unfurrow any time tonight.

He was not going to participate. Not a flame's chance on Hoth.

Atton'd been out in town all day, blending in with the locals. Kind of like he used to; it was soothing.

But by the time he got back on the boat, he needed some actual exercise again. So after a quick bite, he made it back to the now-familiar Lido Deck pool to hang around, swim a couple of laps, get muscles moving that weren't in his legs.

And if that meant skipping out on the square dancing and everyone going to bed after it, eh. Maybe he liked being out here when it was quiet, and there were no waking human emotions to keep his senses occupied.

Alana was dressed for a swim in a bikini under a short cover-up, but really she was on the deck to lay back and take in the stars. They seemed so bright and endless; it was easy to forget she was on a boat, let alone on Earth.

Late in the evening - after the dinner and buffets were done, in the hope that no more than maybe a skeleton crew would be there - Hannibal led the little group he and Karla had recruited through the edges of the dining room and back toward the galley. It was time for the coup de cuisine!
