Do you know what the evening brings on a Pacific Princess cruise besides terrifying swaths of teeny swim trunks worn by men with no business being in them?

Did you same "theme nights?" Because you should have said theme nights.



Tonight's theme is TROPICAL, so get out your coconut bras, your frankly terrifyingly flammable fake grass skirts and head on over to the Lido Deck for an authentic okay, they're trying, it's the '70s, mangos are super exotic, Tropical Feast before all of the scary amazing pineapple food art is gone, then stick around for the hulu dancing!

The Ship!

The Pacific Princess--or the Love Boat, as the crew keeps winkingly calling it--is large enough, if a little heavy on shag carpet, beige furniture and weird modern art installations. There's plenty of space to ramble, so take your time and explore!

Rooms [2/23 evening]

Everyone will find their berths on the Aloha Deck, with outside twin rooms (that have either twin beds or a double for your moddable needs) that provide a view of the ocean as it goes past.

Flick's behavior had not been the best since they'd started this trip. But, he'd eventually come back to the room and headed right for the shower. That's where he stayed for quite awhile before emerging with a towel around his waist.

He sat down on the edge of the bed and rubbed the back of his neck. He needed to get out of his stupid head.

Isabelle's rage was pretty much gone by the time she finally got back to their room. Amazing what a dozen words with someone scowly could do to put things back into perspective.

She slipped quietly in the door.

Room 102

Hannibal had expected to spend time in the onboard casino (there wasn't one), art auctions (no), or spa (well...maybe). Absent that, he'd thought he might just read; he'd brought quite a bit of literature. On his tablet.

He'd gone earlier this afternoon to the gift shop and managed to find some books, at least. He was currently investigating The Dragons of Eden, with A Morbid Taste for Bones sitting on the bed next to him. Well, it had sounded interesting, even apart from the title!

Jono had been playing long enough today that he wasn't outright actually making music. Actually, he was playing the song of his people - the tuning song, which he was doing by ear and really only half paying attention to.

Before going elsewhere, Travis made a stop at the tropical feast. Even though the food was weird (grilled spam, really?), he had to admit it smelled good.

He grabbed some chicken and wandered around.

Enjoy the hula dancing and fire eating demonstrations and then get up and join the other guests in the limbo! Start a conga line! Drink something out of a hollowed out pineapple!

Ezra was totally the person who started a conga line. Seriously, he lured some middle-aged ladies into it to get it started and everything.

After the tropical feast, Anna was going to hang out with the hula dancing. This was a perfect night for a tropical feast!

Shame about the breeze in here. But if she danced more, she'd warm herself up quickly.

Did somebody say conga line? Anna was so up for a conga line.

Flick hadn't come back last night.

Isabelle had caught enough of a glimpse of him today to know he was alive and not somewhere in the ocean, so her worry had turned into anger. Which had turned briefly into fury, but had by now simmered down to sitting at one of the bars, sipping on a nice cocktail in a cute dress.

Being away from the room was still probably pretty vengeful, though.

Was the bar open? Yes. Was that where you'd find Ronan? Yep. The ridiculous ambiance was tolerable because he had something to drink in his hand. He wasn't about to dance but he'd sit at the bar and brood in his own special way.

Edward was Edward: on a night like this, he went where the drink was. And that was here, in this lounge, by this nice gentlemen who kept making him things with umbrellas in them.

He couldn't say he'd had any of this like before, but he wasn't about to complain.

Kitty made a habit of getting a drink every trip just to see how they did it elsewhere- bartender research- and so tonight she wanted to see how they did it in the wayback.

More Exploring! [2/23]

Maybe you're in the mood for a midnight swim on the Lido Deck? Of course you are. There's another pool further aft, if you prefer it. The sunset's breathtaking from the Sun Deck tonight, too.

Much like last night, Atton made it down to the pool in the evening, when it'd started to get dark. The only difference now was that he didn't need to make do with his boxers anymore, and now he was sitting on the edge of the pool in the least ugly pair of Hawaiian-print trunks he'd managed to find.

Sun Deck

Cosette made it out to the Sun Deck just in time to catch the sunset and found herself a spot to lean against the railing and enjoy the breeze as well as the view.

Her only regret was that she couldn't take pictures of it to send back to her father, what with her phone not working. She supposed it was just as well; phone pictures never seemed to do the sunset justice anyhow.
