It's the last day of Spring Break!

Students are lodged in deluxe park view rooms in the Mandarin Oriental with great views of KLCC Park and large marble bathrooms, and the chaperones are five floors up in the club park view rooms where they have access to the hotel's club amenities (weekday deli lunch, afternoon tea and evening cocktails) and you kids don't. Today, Atton wasn't doing anything-- okay, that was strictly untrue, he did have plans for tonight. But for the brunt of the day?

Yeah.

He'd slid off his bed somewhere in the process of sleeping off his hangover and now laid curled up in his own blanket on the floor. But he wasn't moving.

There was a little bit of an awkward 'what do I do about this' feeling when Sia woke up and found her roommate on the floor, mainly because she knew she'd probably have to complain when she had to start getting together.

And since either of them would probably find something to complain about anyway, she just got her bag and started packing up.

There was going to be one last swim in the infinity pool before Kitty had to go back home, where it was cold, and where they didn't have any infinity pools. Plus, being in the water kept her from checking her phone in case she had any texts or messages every five seconds.

Jackson had been efficient with his packing earlier. This meant he could spend a good chunk of his last hours in Kuala Lumpur getting a massage.

It was almost time to go, and Jack's bags were packed and stashed with the hotel office. That meant she had a few extra hours to spend on drinking. She was at the Cascade almost as soon as it opened, Natasha at her feet and a line of shot glasses lined up on the bar in front of her.

It was going to be a perfect last day.

It might be a little cheesy, with its Disney-esque Chinese arch and blue covered walkway, but Petaling Street Market, the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown, buzzes with life. Here you'll find a variety of tourist trinkets, T-shirts, electronics and DVDs. As soon as you veer off the main strip, you enter a warren of backstreets where hungry locals go to fill up on bowls of asam laksa, Hainan chicken rice and mee goreng. Eating on plastic stools next to crates full of squawking chickens, it’s a good pit stop before heading back to to the maelstrom for more haggling over bargain goods.

Suria KLCC (http://pavilion-kl.com/) is close to the top -- or should that be basement -- of KL's shopping greats. This luxury mall occupies the bottom six podium floors of the Petronas Twin Towers (a must-see in its own right), and their 170-meter-high Skybridge. It has everything from luxury goods to everyday items, including branches of Parkson, Isetan, Cold Storage and Marks & Spencer, a fantastic food court, a cineplex, a huge branch of Kinokuniya bookstore and a fun-filled Science Discovery Centre and aquarium.

It's (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g298570-d3684114-Reviews-Taman_KLCC_Kuala_Lumpur_City_Centre_Park-Kuala_Lumpur_Wilayah_Persekutuan.html) right outside the hotel, so it's not like you need to take a cab to get there! There's acres of well-manicured lawns to walk through, as well as beautiful water fountains that dance to music at sunset, a public pool, and a two-acre playground for kids or kids-at-heart.

KL Bird Park [3/1]

Amid the many attractions set within the vast British legacy of Lake Gardens, none compare in hands-on fun to what's billed as the "world's largest free-flight walk-in aviary," KL Bird Park (http://klbirdpark.com/). Translation: chase peacocks and hornbills, pose with owls and parrots on one's shoulder, feed parakeets, watch ostriches lay eggs and be awed by soaring storks and flamingos in surroundings that hardly feel caged-in or too commercial.
