Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Thursday - Day

Unfortunately, the clouds had returned to Rio, but it was still a lot more pleasant here than back in Fandom. There were plenty of things to do, and only so much time left before the end of spring break, so it was time to ignore the hangovers and get out and have some fun!

Kenzi had completely recovered from drinking fun a day and a half ago by now, so woke up early, ordered room service, and settled in to await Toby waking up to share it.

Okay, she also threw bites of waffle at his head. Don't judge. You didn't see how long he slept.

Morning.

Meh.

Peter rolled out of bed a little late into the morning - long time up, working last night - slogged across the room, and opened up his laptop. (Archaic imasen technology.)

Right, today Kenzi was supposed to drag him out to something. Joy. Well, better get as much done as possible right now...

Juliet was still a little covered in glitter from her adventures in the city, so she took an extra-long shower trying to get it off.

It was worth it: She'd barely slept, she'd flirted with a cute drag queen, and her tan was getting intense. It was a very good vacation.

After a day off to be 'hungover' yesterday, Bruce was back to the treadmill in the fitness room. After all, vacation was no excuse for not training. You might think that he was wrong by the very definition of 'vacation,' but he disagreed strongly.

And Cara found herself back in the gym this morning with her new best friend, the punching bag. Theirs was a mostly silent, somewhat violent and one-sided friendship.

This thing with her hair being green really had to stop. Dany had found her way to the spa and explained her problem, and instantly found several people willing to help.

Somehow, once her hair was un-greened, she got roped into a hot oil treatment for it. And a manicure. And a pedicure. And massage.

Several hours later, Dany emerged, smelling sweet and far more pampered than she'd been since she'd left Illyrio.

Jeremy was just a natural at being on vacation. Really, it was a week devoted to just being lazy and doing nothing. That was how he was born to live!

As evidenced by how he was just chilling in the pool, floating around on an inner tube. With an alcohol-free mimosa in his hand because that was how he rolled.

Okay, Kate had tried a lazy-ish holiday. She had. She just wasn't very good at it. There were only so many days she could go without needing something structured to do. Lying on a beach didn't count.

There wasn't much in the way of structure to today either, but at least she'd located an abandoned volley ball, so there was hope for something active to keep her busy.

Once she was done trying to spin it on one finger and found some people to throw it at.

Firekeeper had heard plenty from her classmates about this beach, but so far in her oh so handwavey exploring had yet to spend any time here. So despite the complaints about the possibility of sand in his coat by Blind Seer, here were two wolves, sitting on the beach.

Today seemed like a good day to spend at least part of it at the beach, Toby decided. So here he was, decked out in shorts and a t-shirt and contemplating going for a swim in a bit.

It was back to the beach for Stacey today after a day off where she still got plenty of sun. She was putting on more sunscreen than normal today, because while she was getting nice and tan, she also didn't want to look like an orange.

You'd think she could just stay out of the sun.

Tara had gone for an easy but long walking tour, and she was glad she did. She loved spaces like this: in the city, but not of it. It felt like she was seeing a tiny bit of the way Brazil must have been hundreds or even thousands of years before.

At midday, she found a clearing near a waterfall and sat down on a convenient rock, enjoying the time to appreciate nature. The spray of water cooking her was a nice side benefit.

After her morning at the spa, Dany opted to put on her boots and her lone pair of jeans before heading into the forest. The sights in the park were mostly foreign to her -- waterfalls and grottoes weren't part of her landscape at home, and each one took her a little bit by surprise.

I thought that was your response to CMM's triumphant return to television on OTH last night. Maybe we're both right.
