Exploring the Jedi Temple [Friday morning into Saturday afternoon]

"This is the Jedi Temple," Anakin said, gesturing. A few Jedi walking past gave him a curious look. Anakin blushed. "Um, obviously. We'll be staying here for the night. You're free to wander around and explore. Your rooms will be down this corridor," he pointed, "and mine is with Master Kenobi on the other side of the Temple with the rest of the Masters and Padawans. In your room you'll find comlinks, maps, and translated lists of pretty normal words from English to Basic, which is what all the signs are in around here. Call me if you get lost, either in the Temple or out in Coruscant. It's a big planet and getting turned around is to be expected."

The history of the Jedi and the galaxy goes back millennia.

The librarian might help you and answer your questions. She might not.

If you ask Anakin, you can't get around the Temple without tripping over some of them.

Lightsaber duels. You know you want to watch one...

Get settled in, stagger back after a night of drinking, wake up late, whatever...

On the other side of the Temple from the guest quarters, Anakin's back in his old room. Where Obi-Wan also happens to live.

Not that anyone in the flight class might be interested in that particular piece of information...

Because those haircuts have to come from someone...

He just happens to have four arms.

Follow the sound of youngling wailing--you'll find it.

Near the Council Room is a room with a three-dimensional representation of every planet and system in the galaxy. They are lit up with different colors to represent places where the Jedi are dispatched.

It's a thing of beauty in addition to a useful tool. You'd be amazed who might stop by to stare at it...

After running some errands, Anakin finally walked into the room and sprawled out on the sofa, then began flipping through the HoloNet trying to get caught up on the news.

Obi-Wan had been doing background research on some mission reports -- only a few hundred years old -- but at the sound of a very familiar sofa-flop he came out into the common area.

"Feeling out of touch with the galaxy?"

"A little," Anakin admitted. "Memorizing star charts isn't exactly the same as..." he paused on an entertainment feed, "wondering if that Alderaanian star is pregnant again." He raised an eyebrow. "Am I supposed to care?"

"I'd be terribly disappointed if you did." Obi-Wan cocked his head at the image feed. "Do I even know who she is?"

"I was blaming being gone for a year for not recognizing her," Anakin admitted. "Because they seem to be so excited about it." He flipped to a random sporting event and looked up at Obi-Wan. "Someone tried to brain you with a boot?"

"Huh. Well, threatened to, anyway. And in spite of all the shouting, that was one of the most tedious trips I've ever been on." He came around the back of the sofa and took a seat. "You would've been bored witless."

"Have any good stories from school you'd like to share with me?"

Jaye has no plans for the younglings. None at all. She is innocent as... blah blah blah. She brought bribes.

Anakin sat up. "Oh, I've got pictures," he said, walking into his room and returning with a small pile. "Rory says thank you, by the way." He scowled. "Once she could catch her breath."

"Hello," said a high-pitched voice from about knee level. "Are you lost?"

"Not yet, but give me ten minutes," she says, bending down. "How'd you like to help a girl out?"

The youngling crouched down as well. "I'm gonna be a Jedi," he explained. "Helping others is what we do," he said solemnly. "What do you need help with?"

"You know Obi-wan?" she says. "I was wondering if you could ask him to dinner for me. I think it would make him very happy."
