Getting out into Coruscant [Friday afternoon into Saturday afternoon]

Anakin pointed out of one of the vaulted Temple windows towards the busy cityscape in front of them.

"And that is Coruscant. Clubs, restaurants, shopping, incredibly egotistical politicians, useless bureaucrats...it's all out there." He pointed to the nearest public transport pickup location. "Don't go lower than the mid-levels of Coruscant unless you're looking to disappear permanently," he warned. "There are a trillion beings on this planet, and it has a thriving underworld who are as ruthless as any you'll ever come across."

Trying not to stare at anything for too long, Peter finally found his way to the club Anakin had directed them too. He'd only gotten lost 10 or twelve times which he was considering rather a feat.

Anakin waved Peter over. "Hey!" he said. "You find the place okay?"

Peter wound his way over the group, trying to avoid running into any alien bodyparts. "Afteer the first few tries, I made it," he replied. "You weren't kidding when you said this was a huge city."

"Covers a planet," Anakin said with a smile. "And I'm only showing you the nice parts."

"I think I appreciate that," Peter replied with a grin. "How did you ever learn your way around?"

"Trial and error," Anakin admitted. "And learning which beings in the Temple to listen to for directions and which ones were seeing if you were stuipid enough to walk into a bounty hunter bar."

"Hi Peter!" said a slender brunette who he really should recognize, in spite of how differently dressed (http://pics.livejournal.com/rory__gilmore/pic/0004krxa) and made up she might have been.

Peter bowed to the brunette who seemed slightly familiar. "I'm sorry, my Lady. You have the advantage of me."

Rory grinned. "Having good hair and wearing a new outfit go a long way," she noted. "Under the curls and flowy clothes and makeup, I'm Rory. Hi. Are you having fun?"

Peter tilted his head. "Good evening to you, Rory. I like the dress, it's lovely. Are you aiming to set a new fashion in Fandom?" He grinned. "I am indeed. And mostly continually amazed with how big everything is. Are you?"

Rory blushed. "I thought it was pretty," she said, smoothing her skirt. "And I'm having a blast so far. It's great seeing where Anakin comes from - we're really good friends, and so it's nice seeing all the stuff he talks about actually in person."

"It really is neat," Peter said. "I can't imagine growing up here and then coming to Earth. It must have been an enormous change." He looked at her drink. "Are you drinking something that's smoking?"

"It has dry ice," she told him, grinning. "But it's not that strong. I told Anakin to order me something that wouldn't knock me out or anything. Little bit afraid of the food and alcohol on this planet."

"Yes, because having a drink punch you? Not really the tourist experience one looks for," Peter replied, laughing. "Have there been stories about the food and drink here?"

"Well, there are like a zillion species of beings," Rory pointed out. "I'm pretty sure that the tolerance levels for humans? Not so high as say, for a guy like that." She discreetly pointed to a very large alien. "Not to mention how tastes vary."

"Unless he's madly allergic to our version of alcohol and only drinks some type of fermented cricket or something," Peter said with a grin. "Which is probably a good example of how tastes very."

"Ewwwwwwww," Rory contributed. She glanced into her drink. "I don't think this is fermented crickets...."

"Too late now?" Peter suggested ~~and boggled at misspelling of vary omg~~. "If it is, it's good-tasting cricket apparently."

"And blue," she helpfully noted, as though Peter could not see this for himself.

"And smokey," Peter agreed. "This should be the newest drink at Caritas. Smokey, blue, cricket juice."
