Spring Break Trip, 3/7 - Room 412, after 10pm

After a long but profitable day, Parker was sacked on on her huge bed again.

No, she's not asleep. She'll be calling people any minute.

Angela dropped off a ... thing.

She has a weird sense of humor sometimes.

Rory was already there, so to say she "dropped off" Angel's gift would be a stretch.

Nevertheless, there were two stuffed (http://www.bdaybears.com/kit/15/blacklab.jpg) puppies (http://www.stuffedark.com/images/papibeige.jpg) there for him, with the note that said:

Vladdie and Sean would like you to get better soon.

Zero was already there, too, so she added a box of blood-flavoured lollipops to the pile with a note that said, They make suckers for vampires. Who knew? 0

Blair dropped off a package with a note on top.

Angel, this is a healing skirt (http://www.owenhargreaves.com/mimgs/DSCN3470%20copy.jpg) from the Dida tribe. Legend says you should wear it and dance around a chicken to ensure good health. I'll look for a chicken when I come back to Fandom. Get better!

The note with it reads,

You couldn't get to Ireland, so Ireland is coming to you. Erin go bragh and all that.

C'mon, Veronica. We have good news.

Veronica was just leaving the clinic and heading to work when her phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Veronica? Parker. Be prepared for overnight express. We got the goods." Parker had to sound pretty gleeful at this point.

"What goods?" Veronica asked.

"A bezoar stone, and unicorn horn shavings. They're both mystical ingredients in magical healing potions. They weren't real clear on how either of them get used, but I'll put what info I could get into the package. You'll be getting an owl-- a huge one-- sometime tomorrow morning." Parker grinned. "This is good news! It'll help, it's what we found in the books we-- appropriated!"

"I have no idea what those things are and I'm afraid to ask what you mean by me getting an owl, but if you think these things are going to help Angel, well, then good," Veronica said with a small smile.

"Definitely. We've got some other things in the package too-- photos and souvenirs for Wings-- so pass them along, and hopefully they'll at least cheer him up." She grinned. "Anything new there? Any breakthroughs or breakdowns?"

"I can definitely do that," Veronica said. "I am sure I will be stopping down there at some point tomorrow. I just left and he was awake. Seemed in fairly decent spirits, but he is still very weak."

Parker decided to check in on clinic news, while she was at it, and dialed Fraiser's number. Might as well warn her what was on its way.

*ring*

"Get the stone and shavings to whoever's working on it ASAP, but yeah, give the rest to Angel when he's up to it." She paused. "How are you doing?"

"Hello?" Janet answered her phone distractedly, paging through test results and research notes.

"There are a number of people working on it, but I'll make sure one of the magical type people takes a look at what you send," she promised. "And I'm doing okay. Just trying to keep it all together, you know? Cordy had a vision that I'm somehow involved in curing Angel, so..."

"Hey Fraiser, it's Parker. How are things on the research girl front?"

"Really? That's good! That's great." Parker may have breathed out a sigh of relief. "So how is that going to work, exactly?"

"A whole lot of research," said Janet. "The library's surprisingly useless this time, but there's a lot of equipment at the clinic that I'm itching to get my hands on and see if there's anything I can find out. The key's got to lie somewhere in the whole concept of blood, but I can't quite figure it out."

"We're still working that out," she admitted. "But hopefully what you're sending will help."

"For what it's worth? There's a package on its way via owl to Veronica tomorrow morning. We found a couple things in our, ahem, 'appropriated materials' over here that gave us a clue what to shop for. She'll get your magic types and you the stuff in question as soon as it gets there."

"Super. Keep an eye on Callisto, will you? She freaked out at me last night when I was trying to be reassuring, and I think this is starting to take its toll." She sighed. "Anything else we can do to help over here?"

"God, I haven't even seen her since Friday night when Logan and I left her at the clinic after we took Angel in," she said. "Well, that's not entirely true, she was passed out in here the other day when I stopped by to visit. I've been so busy running around on this cure that I haven't even thought about stopping to check on her."

She sighed. "And no, I can't think of anything, but if I do, I'll either call you or Marty."
