Voavah Island, the Maldives [Friday Daytime]

The last full day in the Maldives began without any multiverse-enforced things on anyone's body, huzzah! The spooky lighthouse had gone away with the sunrise, as well.

However, now everything smelled like coconut.

And there was something funky going on with the beach. It was longer, for a start. And the new part... was looking interesting.

Our days will revolve around the multi-story Beach House--where the students are staying--and the adjacent powder-white sands, crystal lagoon and vibrant reef, which are all exemplary even by the Maldives' standards. Laze in the shady open-air lounge. Dive into the pristine waters. Work out in the gym. Cool down in the library. Go for a beach wander across the five-acre island.

It smells like coconut. Everywhere. Insidiously. It doesn’t get better–or worse!--when you leave your rooms.

There's a morning breakfast buffet set up around the pool and a fleet of chefs eager to assist you in whatever food you're interested in having for lunch. You can even order up to your suites, or get the chefs to teach a cooking class!

Do you want to get all the spa treatments at the Oceans of Consciousness Spa? Do you want to do so while maybe not referring to it as the Oceans of Consciousness Spa? We understand that. The spa also offers mani/pedis and hair cuts.

Hit the gym, go to the library, get snacks in the kitchen, lounge in the lounge. Tell us where you are so we can join you.

Well, the beach is definitely different than it had been last night. Anakin’s blaming the DJ. The new piece is purple, with strange pink trees that look almost like palm trees. Reddish-pink fruit hang heavy from their leaves. They’re sweet, but leave a strange aftertaste - sometimes salmiak, sometimes coffee. Across the purplish grass that frames the beach, dog-like creatures with six limbs frolic. They are friendly. They burp soap bubbles. They love hugs.

Sure, this is much better than kite-driven transportation.

Hit up the Marine Discovery Center and maybe even participate in the rebuilding of a coral reef!

I wish I was on vacation too.

"... Well, that's a bit odd."

Understatement of the century? Yes. But Henry had finally been battered into submission by all of this mess.

Now he sort of stood there.

Five minutes later, he'd befriended one of the dog-things and it was following him around the beach while he tried to teach it tricks.

Rey had spent a surprising amount of time on the beach. And this was very, very weird.

And given the rest of this week she wasn't worrying about it because she was sitting in the sand and happily playing with one of the dog creatures.

Harley had finally discovered the spa! So now Harley was getting her hair trimmed and re-dyed!

And the hair stylist was getting an earful of stream of consciousness, as a bonus.
