Nell spent the day at the Wild Food Cooking school and the MaoriFood Trail. She foraged for ingredients, searched for native plants and herbs, learned about their nutritional and medicinal properties, and discovered their ties with Maori cultural traditions. She also gained permission to take some seeds and seedlings back with her. She spent the day happliy foraging, learning, and cooking - and doing a little sharing of her own.
