Viking Fjorgyn, Seine River Cruise, France [Monday Evening]

Hopefully we didn't leave you behind when the ship disembarked because that would be awkward on the first day of sailing and you would've missed a beautiful sunset from the Sun Deck.

The Fjorgyn, named for the Norse goddess of the Earth, is a 410 foot long ship built in 2020.

Students are in Veranda Staterooms on the Upper Deck, which have queen or twin sized beds ~~depending on which is funnier~~, wifi, televisions, and twice-daily housekeeping. This does NOT mean you can throw ragers. The chaperones are in Veranda Suites, also on the Upper Deck, with queen or twin sized beds ~~depending on which is funnier~~, wifi, televisions, fully stocked minibars and free champagne and fruit platters daily. It is, after all, why they chaperone.

Located on the top of the ship, go on up there to get the best views of the passing scenery and to sunbathe if you really like being cold in October, you weirdo. There's also a walking path if you aren't getting enough exercise on all of the daily excursions.

If you're more interested in eating al fresco and not having a multi-course meal, the Aquavit Terrace is for you. The lounge serves drinks and snacks into the night if you'd like to sit inside and gaze at the shore through glass, or take your chances out on deck.

Located on the Middle Deck, the restaurant will serve as the hub for our meals throughout the cruise, assuming you aren't on shore. Each table seats six, and you've been assigned to one here. Make friends with your fellow Fandomites! Tonight, in addition to steak, chicken, salmon and Caesar salad that are always on the menu, the chefs have prepared a Canadian Thanksgiving feast! All dinners will have appetizers, main courses, desserts, and a cheese plate. Your wine glass, should you choose it, will never be empty. You are traveling in France.

Ugh don't make me go back to work tomorrow.

Charlie was torn between the steak and the Canadian Thanksgiving feast. Finally, she decided that sice she was Canadian she was pretty much honor bound to have the Thanksgiving feast. So she was.

Nell was definitely going to try the Canadian Thanksgiving feast. However, though she might have a sip or two of wine, she would definitely not be indulging in more than that. If she seemed a bit quiet, though sheerful, it was probably because she was thinking of all the plant clippings she was collecting.

Stark was tired from his bike trip earlier but he'd enjoyed it (even if his legs were already feeling sore) and he didn't want to miss dinner tonight on the ship. Besides, it was a good way, he hoped, to talk to a few people who weren't his guest on this trip.

Kurt definitely was eyeing that Canadian Thanksgiving dinner and it didn't take long for his stomach to win over on that debate! So he was going to enjoy the feast, unable to help but think how much Logan would enjoy it too. Seeing as he was Canadian himself and all.But his thoughts were interrupted as he made his way to the table and smiled, seeing someone seated there already.

"Hey Charlie!" he said with a grin as he walked over and sat down.

"Hey Kurt," Charlie replied cheerfully. "How are you doing today?"

Connor had been enjoying his time hanging around the docks and local area and chilling on the ship for part of the day. He perked up a little when he saw an unfamiliar face sitting at the table already.

"Hey," he said with a grin as he walked up. "I'm Connor. Nice to meet ya."

"Doing good. Still trying to convince myself this is all real and the school is really sending us on a trip like this!" he said with a grin. "How have you been enjoying the trip so far?"

"It's been amazing," Charlie said. "I was actually busking on the streets of Paris last night! I mean, just imagine it!"

"Nell Ingram," Nell said with a shy smile. "Nice to meet you as well. Are you enjoying he trip so far?"

"Aye, it's been amazing! It was kind of a last-minute thing for me, but I'm glad I was able to come." Connor gave Nell a smile. "Would be a fool to turn down a free trip to France for a week eh?"

"Oh I bet that was so much fun! I am sorry I missed seeing you play" Kurt said with a grin.

"Stick around, I'm sure you'll hear me at some point," Charlie said. "I play all the time."

Clare might be getting just a little tipsy, even though she'd swear to you that she hadn't had but the one glass.

It was just...refilled a bunch.

"I completely agree," Nell said. "I was so happy that Lana asked me if I wanted to come along."

Beta was... a little bit asleep at the table, shh. She was tired after the last couple of days' adventures, and then all that food on top of it? Cut her some slack.

"Sounds like a great way to spend an evening to be honest" Kurt nodded in agreement.

"It was awesome," Charlie agreed. "Even made some euros!"

"Ah, you're here as a guest too. My mate Cutter is teaching at the school. Asked me to be his plus one for the trip."

"Lana's a teacher as well. She and I were roommates when we went to school here," Nell said.

"Enjoying yourself?" Anakin asked, setting his water glass down with a bit of a thump to get her back up.

Beta jerked back awake with an audible yelp and looked around a little wild-eyed before she took a breath.

"I'm -- yes," she said, trying to even her breathing out like Zo had taught her. "I'm just not used to doing this much in a day."

"Nice! Free money for souvenirs! Can't be mad about that" Kurt agreed.

"That's cool! Makes me wish I had been able to go a school as cool as this one sounds!" Connor said with a laugh.

"Did you do the bicycling after walking all day in Paris?" Anakin asked.

"You're not wrong there," Charlie said. "I hope I get a chance to do it again while we're here."

"It's certainly not your normal school," Nell agreed. "I know I was lucky to get to go here."

Even if she hadn't thought so at the start.

Beta shook her head emphatically. "No," she said hastily. "I just... mostly wandered around the grounds at Monet's house. That was about as much as I could handle after yesterday."

Maybe someday she might have a modicum of physical conditioning!

"We could always do something here on the boat, have a music night or something!"

"Oooh, that could be fun," Charlie said. "Sitting out on the sun deck under the stars."

Anakin chuckled. "I think tomorrow might involve farming," he admitted.

"Can we just observe?" asked Beta, already wincing at the idea. But hey, maybe she could get some useful information for Zo or Alva out of the experience?

"I'm sure there is," Anakin said with a smile. "I don't think they're depending on tourist-driven farming."

"That would be... inefficient," Beta agreed with a nervous little tilt of her head, poking her fork at a smudge of mashed potatoes left on her plate.
