Tokyo, Japan, Tuesday Night

Have you made it back to the hotel yet? Probably not, right, because there's just so much to see, eat, and do in Tokyo.

And because for some of you, sleeping seven to a tiny room has limited-to-no appeal. Cough. Wonder who that might apply to! Anyway, enjoy the Tokyo nightlife!

The modern TRUNK hotel offers green spaces and wide balconies in the heart of Tokyo. Located just a stone's throw from the famous Shibuya, Aoyama and Harajuku neighborhoods, you'll find plenty to do around here.

The standard wide rooms with balcony with twin- or double beds you'll be sleeping in are a lot more modern, and each has a nice balcony with a hammock chair to chill out in. Enjoy, relax. Though for some reason, one of the balcony rooms is smaller than all the others. Hmm...

Or spend some time in Trunk's comfortable lounge and have some cocktails and coffee.

Hungry? You'll find breakfast, lunch and dinner in the aptly named Trunk(Kitchen), featuring a range of both Japanese and international cuisine.

If Kitchen's fare isn't to your liking, there's also TRUNK(Kushi), a restaurant celebrating the fine art of taking meat and putting it on a stick. And offal. Lots of offal.

Want to have dinner with robots and quite possibly blow out your retinas? Hop by the Robot Restaurant for a meal you won't forget.

These are alleys the way you picture an alley: a little narrow, a little foggy, and full of tiny bars. Most only have about five seats and often no real doors to speak of. Is there a better way to really embrace that Tokyo atmosphere?

You know that famous crosswalk you see in all those establishing shots of Tokyo in every show featuring Japan you've ever seen? That's Shibuya Crossing, a massive intersection surrounded by billboards. It's also surrounded by a ton of fun boutiques, restaurants and bars, so take some pictures, baffle at the hugeness of it all, and then go grab a bite.

Not hungry yet? Why not rent a Go-Kart and follow a guide around all of Tokyo's hottest sights in what is totally not at all an activity inspired by an Italian plumber?

There's plenty of other things to do in Tokyo before you have to go to sleep tonight. Poke around, have fun, buy a bra from a vending machine.

The icon immediately below the spring break one? Truck stopper hooker!CEvans. It almost got really awkward a few times.

I WAS WONDERING ABOUT ALL THE EDITS

THIS RIGHT HERE IS A WHOLE OTHER VIBE.

You know, Tokyo was a pretty great city and Rosa had had a pretty full day ~~really!~~ and she knew another one was waiting tomorrow, so she eventually got ready to get to bed, reaching for her earplugs because, yeah, even the sleep apnea machine could only do so much with Amaya's snoring, and pulled back her covers.

And stared.

Closed her eyes, drawing in a deep breath.

"Amaya?" she asked, trying to blink back her rage because it would probably not do to murder her roommate on a school trip. "What is the lobster doing in my bed?"

She refused to call it Dave.

Which just made Amaya blink back from behind her glasses, already in her bed with a book on Japanese armor that she'd picked up earlier that day. "What are you talking about? I just put him in the tub for the evening, didn't you see him in the bathroom?"

"So are you telling me that this," Rosa pulled back all the covers dramatically, revealing, sure enough, another lobster on her bed, crawling around and waving a confused claw at the two of them, "is a different lobster?"

Did....did they need to have a talk, Amaya??

Amaya, rather confused by the turn of events, leaned over a little for a better look.

"Yeah, that's definitely not Dave," she confirmed. She could tell. She shook her head, settling back. "I have no idea where that lobster came from, I only have just the one."

"So, you're telling me you have no idea why there is a lobster in my bed?" Rosa tried, giving Amaya a warning look, because she knew how bad you were at lying, Blackstone, you knew better than to think you could pull one over on her.

"I swear on both my anvils," Amaya insisted, a hand on her heart, even, and the other one letting go of her book so she could hold it up in a gesture of solemnity and promise, "I have never seen that lobster before in my life."

She could tell, dammit.

"Then how did it get here?"

Was she suddenly cursed with lobsters? Had someone put it there, as a sick joke of some sort? But who would do that? Smith had calmed down ever since the break-in, and it didn't really seem to fit her M.O. If it was her, it wouldn't be a live lobster, it would be a jello one. Hot Leaf Water actually seemed to value her life these days, so she wouldn't have dared. She supposed Kitty might have, but practical jokes weren't really her style. Rosa stopped for a moment to really think about, to try and figure out if there had been anyone recently that she may have pissed off or wronged in any sort of way.

That's when her eyes narrowed on the lobster.

"Well played," she murmured, with fire in the deep mutter. "asshole."

To think, she had actually considered apologizing to that man, too!

In a way, then, the lobster was a good thing, to save herself the embarrassment.

She threw the covers back over the lobster.

"Blackstone, move over, I'm not sleeping on a bed that's had a lobster crawling all over it..."

There was a long, uncomfortable pause, as Amaya looked over her bed and thought about how Dave might have gotten a chance to enjoy all the amenities earlier that day.

"So, about that..." she slowly ventured.

"God dammit."

The covers were pulled back again, and Rosa seized the lobster.

"Well, I sure hope Dave is in a sharing mood, then," she said, stomping off to the bathroom to throw the other lobster into the tub while seriously wondering if she should just get a pot of water and be done with the both of them for good.

Was Tahani buying a bra from a vending machine?

She absolutely was.

Was she going to tell Kamilah it was the latest fashion in Tokyo and add a few points to her tally towards the Bad Place?

Yup.

Would Kamilah wear it, start a new trend, and end up on the cover of Vogue?

Sadly, yes.

Belle was thoroughly overwhelmed by this area of the city. It was nothing like anywhere she'd ever been before. But that was the point of this trip, wasn't it? An adventure! As long as she didn't end up getting swept up in a crowd and lost forever.
