Boracay Island, Philippines, Wednesday Day

Hello, everyone! Are you up for another sunny day on Boracay?

There are no bats for you today, but you can learn to swim like a mermaid. Or if you are a mermaid, be amused by what humans think mermaids are like! How's that?

Better than bats, right?

Seivarden had no idea what mermaid swimming.

"Oh no."

She was going to take a seat nearby, drink in hand, and judge any of her students who showed up.

At least Rosa was unlikely to stop by.

Swim like a mermaid? Fantastic!

Sidon didn't actually really know what that meant, but it was fantastic all the same, as he was always eager to learn more techniques, especially when it came to swimming!

Even if, on his part, it seemed to turn a little bit more into him teaching an instructor or two about how to swim like a Zora, especially once it was confirmed that they did not make spandex tails large enough for Zora princes.

It would have seemed a bit excessive anyway, really.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Summer had, like, a million and one jello shots to finish making, but she was also definitely one of those kids with childhood dreams of becoming a mermaid when she grew up, so she was absolutely not missing this one, no way. All it meant was that she'd just have to mix up most of the batches at stupid o'clock in the morning before they headed out to the Swimming Academy, and then mixing up the rest when they got back, which should still be enough time for them to set before she got things started. It was fine. She worked best under pressure, anyway.

But come on. Lifelong childhood dream here!

(Actually, Summer had wanted to be a mermaid unicorn princess, but she wasn't about to hash details here).

And here was the moment when Prompto realized that Eos was severely lacking in water parks, and wondering whether this was something he could put his status as 'BFF to the Prince' to some good use.

Not that he was spending too much time thinking about it because there was a giant water park to explore and enjoy right now, even if this was totally going to ruin his hair!

Wayne, it should be noted, was actually not in jeans and flannel at the swim park, which might surprise a few people, but he was appropriately dressed for the occasion.

And, despite the constant stoic expression, he was having a total blast. He never really got to do stuff like this as a kid, so he was taking the chance to go a little lucky now that he could.

It was just in an incredibly Wayne fashion.

There was definitely a bit of a theme with the activities Rosa was choosing to chaperone, and that theme was definitely the potential for people falling off of things.

Sure, falling off giant inflatables wasn't nearly as hilarious as falling off cliffs, but there was still a lot of potential here.

Imagine that! There was Shunsui, actually chaperoning one of the morning activities for a change!

Well.

'Chaperoning' in this case clearly meant 'napping.'

But Shunsui's whole plan for his mornings were to find interesting places to nap, and on a raft within an inflatable water park in the ocean certainly fit that bill.

Astrid had been having a nice, quiet, introspective sort of vacation so far, and this seemed like the way to go if she wanted to keep that up. The other activities sounded a little more fun, but this was more her speed, and she hadn't actually done much snorkeling so far. So this was good. This was a nice way to spend the morning.

Tisarwat wasn't feeling too sure about any of the activities this morning, but this one seemed to be the more popular one, and that seemed like a good enough reason to go with it as any other.

Which meant quickly discovering that her waterproof gloves did not have a good grip on inflatables. Which was making this whole thing...interesting. But also kind of fun, once the frustration wore off and she started to see it as more of a challenge.

And it sure beat being on a boat!

Beach

Although Amaya didn't quite understand it (mermaids in her world tended to mostly just be around to drown sailors and create shipwrecks, although they did get to ride on giant seahorses, and that was pretty exciting, she supposed), she agreed to keep an eye on the jello while Summer went to 'get her mermaid on' (as she had put it), but she still needed to get out of that room and the chaos that was created in preparation for Summer's party for a bit. At least to grab a drink, some more meat on a stick, and just enjoy the beach a little.

Even if she did constantly have to shift and tug uncomfortably at the modern swimsuit that Diaz had talked her into getting.

Liam had kind of jumped on this activity the moment he heard about it. Because he'd never had a childhood, much less an opportunity to visit a waterpark. Hell, even a year ago, he would've been hard-pressed to convince himself this was something that it was okay to do.

Sure, he was technically chaperoning, but it wasn't as if having fun while doing so was discouraged. And he figured Beau would be proud of him for making the effort to just have fun when he told her about it later.

Kitty was chaperoning, but she also had a toddler, so she was sticking to calmer stuff.

But said toddler also had a tiny life vest on and seriously loved bouncing so this was all completely worth it.
