Up, up and at 'em! It's bright and early, and in a few hours, you'll be in the move again. Are you tired of reindeer and hiking yet? You better not be tired of reindeer and hiking, 'cause Iceland has plenty.

So go get that breakfast spread, kids.

We're still at Fosshotel Vatnajökul, a hotel with modern rooms and fantastic views of the Vatnajökull Glacier. Students are in the deluxe double rooms and teachers are in the suites.

Enjoy these nice, warm rooms while you still can, kids...

There's no langoustine this morning, but that breakfast buffet is certainly something.

Come on, kids. You know the drill.

Moving on from the area around the village of Höfn, we have a good chance of spotting some reindeer along the way as they are commonly seen in this area. We drive on through very sparsely populated areas under imposing mountains. The narrow road clings to steep hillsides, and to our right there are endless ocean views. Do not try to put a reindeer on a minibus when we stop for pictures. Or pretend it's a student. We don't have that kind of weight allowance on these roads.

Meandering through deserted fjords with glistening sands, peculiar cliffs, and colorful sharp-peaked mountains we will see Hvalnes, an incredibly remote peninsula. Before we reach Djúpivogur we will enjoy the dramatic and extremely diverse scenery around Lóns and the beautiful fjord of Álftafjarðar. In this area you will also see the really stark scenery formed by the landslides at Þvottárskriður. We'll be sure to stop for pictures and to stretch our legs.

We stop at Djúpivogur, a tiny village where Sigurdur Gudmundsson (Sigurður Guðmundsson), a world renowned artist, has installed Eggin í Gleðivík, an unusual work of art for us all to enjoy (Eggs. It's a lot of eggs.). We'll give you time to soak up the atmosphere in this wild and isolated place and break for lunch.

Nothing like a fun, three-hour hike past even more waterfalls to work off lunch, right? You will see Hengifoss, a glorious waterfall with a height of 128 m, making it the second highest waterfall in Iceland, as well as being incredibly beautiful and photogenic. Litlanesfoss is an equally stunning and photogenic waterfall, framed by imposing angular basalt columns. Your hike will also take you to see the colored layers within the rock-face of an amazing gorge, these layers were formed by volcanic eruptions over thousands of years.

I didn't expect a blood draw to knock me out past trip posting time. Sorry!

Oh, Prompto was totally loading up on that buffet this morning. If anything, he could definitely afford to splurge a little with all the walking around and hiking they'd been doing. Important to try the local cuisines, right? And besides, they were on vacation! Vacay cals didn't count!

"MEEP MEEP MEEP MEEEE!"

Yes, Beaker, that was a reindeer. Right. There.

Was an annoyed Paris staked out in front of her bus handing out hand-knit and slightly bumpy earwarmers?

Damn right she was. "You'll wear it and you'll like it."

Steve had found a spot to sketch some of the giant eggs. He'd sit for a bit, then find lunch.

Because it was Steve, and there always had to be lunch.

Having spent much of his childhood in a desert, Anakin was never going to be tired of looking at waterfalls.

He found a spot near Litlanesfoss where he could also see Hengifoss and settled down, reaching into the Force to really feel the incredible power.

"Heeeey!" Prompto laughed as he was being handed a earwarmer, holding it up for inspection as if he'd even know what to look for. "You figured out how to do the thing!"

Oh, Astrid was definitely going to be sketching those eggs. All the while thinking that she really wanted to one day be world renowned and famous for something like...eggs.

She did legitimately think they were amazing, though, and she kind of loved them a lot.

Paris looked extremely pleased with herself. "I did! And these are really fast--I can do them between waterfall stops."

Between the A badges from yesterday and then seeing Paris handing stuff out today, Sabine figured maybe they should figure out something for their bus, too. So she'd be trying to sketch ideas for that out today on the road.

Peebee spent about half the hike having to catch up to the group; someone was far too fascinated by the layers of the rock face. Safe to say geology was going to be her nerdy hyperfixation of the week.

"Okay, but who does that?" Brooke asked.

It's eggs, people.

By this point in the trip they'd seen enough waterfalls that Sabine wouldn't have thought Litlanesfoss was as impressive as others, except for the colors. And aside from getting pictures (she had soooo many pictures already), later on she was apparently going to be trying to learn about geology. So there was that.

At literally any time they stopped, Brooke was sitting down. Three hours? People. What were you doing to her?

When they stopped for pictures, Kitty tried to point things out to Lexi to be sure she saw it.

Lexi didn't care. She was not listening.

"That's awesome, Paris!" Prompto said, and he meant it, too. It wasn't just because the thought of her getting increasingly frustrated while wielding two sharp pointy sticks was terrifying.

Though that did factor into it, he wasn't gonna lie.

And, inspecting it a little more, looking almost as if he was merely appraising the handiwork, he then revealed what was really on his mind.

"Er...what is it?"

He could guess, buuuuuut....

The eggs, it seemed, had claimed another victim, and Amaya was very clearly on the head-scratching side of things.

"And...we're sure they're not dragon eggs?" she asked, again, because it was clearly the only explanation that made any sense to her.

This place, with their not-really-trolls and not-actually-dragon-eggs.
