Necker Island, Tuesday afternoon/evening

Are you ready for another sunset that looks like it came out of a romantic comedy? Good because tonight's is going to be spectacular--and that's before you hit the all-you-can-stand seafood buffet.

Mmm, crabs until you groan. Paradise.

The Great House is the hub of all things Necker Island. Not only does it contain many gorgeous open bedrooms, outfitted with enormous terraces, but the house's perch on the island's highest points also grants it some incredibly scenic lounging possibilities. In fact, up on the roof, you'll find a jacuzzi big enough for four at a time.

Don't fight over it.

Every private room has a double or twin beds, depending on ~~what's suitable and/or funny~~ which one you're assigned. Every room comes with a private en-suite bathroom and a beautiful view of the beach on either side of the island.

The Great House has a spacious dining room, where private chefs serve different takes on local cuisine every evening. Tonight: seafood. Soooo much seafood. There's seating area outside as well, and the woman behind the bar will make you any number of cocktails if you ask nicely.

The Great House comes with a wrap-around terrace that supports hammocks and cosy sofas. There are board games and even chess sets available - and a fully-stocked bar.

In the center of the Great House, you'll find the deck, which provides a stunning scenic view of the surrounding area, more seating, a pool table and a piano. Also, champagne. And a lot of it.

And if you take the stairs up, you'll find a four-person jacuzzi. Nice!

Just outside the house sits an enormous infinity pool, which remains warm even in the nighttime hours. Jump in, give it a try! There'll be plenty more swimming to do elsewhere for the rest of the week, but there's no place like home.

The spa is opening its doors for the first time this week. Come in, have a massage, a good scrub, and maybe a little while in the lavender sauna if that's more your jam. Or you can wander around and get some late-night gym time in.

The Beach House is still open for all of your entertainment needs! Grab a drink at the bar, play some pool, or grab a board game.

Looking for a romantic getaway? Just want to treat yourself? Tonight, the staff has set up various small dining areas around Bali Hi Beach. Settle in against the pillows for your dinner, enjoy the lights, or join a larger group at the tables a little further down the beach. Make sure to enjoy the bonfire.

Or take a trip around the island. It's big and has plenty to see - just bring a flashlight.
