Welcome to the Castle Hotel & Spa. Located 30 miles from Manhattan and a mile and a half from Sleepy Hollow, this beautiful piece of architecture sits majestically atop one of the highest points in Westchester County, and overlooks the Hudson River amid sprawling acres of manicured gardens and grounds. With over 100 years of history, the Castle is a sumptuous escape to the enchanted era of America’s Gilded Age.

Hotel - Rooms

Students are in Deluxe Rooms located in Carrollcliffe, the newest wing of the Castle with one king-size bed or two queen-size beds whichever is funnier, private bath with a shower/tub combination. The hotel offers the most luxurious imported linens, goose-down comforters, and plush bathrobes (and chocolates on your pillow because they're fancy). Deluxe rooms also include an armoire with a flat-screen HDTV, Tivoli clock radio, Bose sound system and complimentary high-speed internet access.

Teachers and their guests are in Junior Suites, also located in Carrollcliffe. In addition to all of the goodies in the students' room, the teachers get a sitting alcove and a separate tub and shower to relax in. Booyah.

Ever wanted to eat at a five-star Zagat rated restaurant? Ever been glad the school is paying for everything? Then Equus is for you!

Dining options include their celebrated seasonal Prix Fixe tasting menus and the carefully designed a la carte offerings (plus dessert in three acceptably snooty rooms: The Garden Room, the Oak Room, or the Library.

If you can't wait for dinner service to start at 5:30, there's a Happy Hour menu as well, just in case you're dying to find out what $9 pigs in a blanket taste like.

Climb aboard Sleepy Hollow’s annual Haunted Hayride and hold onto your head! All seems well when you board your hay wagon in the brightly lit streets of downtown Sleepy Hollow. Rumbling off into the dark you realize too late you are heading down the Albany Post Road past the Old Dutch Church, following exactly Ichabod Crane’s flight from the Headless Horseman. Then you’re through a set of iron gates and the wagon slips into the dark woods of the hollow. Clattering across a wooden bridge, you start to hear shrieks and the sound of hoofbeats...

Activities - An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe

Edgar Allan Poe, who lived his last few years in a cottage 20 miles from Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, rises from the dead for an evening of mystery and macabre. Poe, portrayed by local storyteller David Neilsen, will read favorites from his own stories and poems.

Anders was wary about the concept of beef tartar -- that was raw meat, right? -- but gave in and ordered it on the bartender's recommendation, and was happy that he had. He spread ruddy mounds of it on his circles of toast, slowly enjoying the plate of snacks and the beer he'd ordered to go with them.

For the moment, he was entirely content.

Somehow, somehow, Peridot found herself on the hay ride. She wasn't entirely sure how herself, but a few of the humans were worries that she'd lost her family, and maybe she was a little bit young to be on such a scary ride?

Mostly, as the wagon clattered along, she found herself... completely lost. Could humans live without their heads? This was an aspect of human anatomy that she'd never really considered before.

Okay, so this place had no clubs to speak of. Maybe later on Dante'd get annoyed and see if he could make it down to NYC from here, but right now, this place would do.

He got a giant beer and settled down on the tab, kicking up conversation with a girl that couldn't have been more than a few years older than him. Yep. It'd do for now-- though if he couldn't score any free drinks or find a friend for the night soon, he might have to leave early.
