The ships are docked for the night at Kargi Bay, but there's not much in the way of entertainment there. Head a few kilometers inland for nightlife in nearby Gumbet, or stay on the ship and enjoy the quiet and the stars.

The weather's nice enough for either.

The Gulets - In The Harbor

The gulets lay peacefully in the harbor, occasionally bobbing up and down on a gentle wave of water.

The Gulets - Sun Deck

Located on the front of each gulet, the sun deck is a perfect place to sunbathe, stargaze or just catch some air away from your roommate.

The Gulets - Dining Room and Saloon on the Main Deck

All meals aboard ship (as well as drinks and snacks during the day) are served in the dining room and saloon on the main deck of your gulet.

The Gulets - Saloon Below Deck

In case it's raining or too cold to go outside, each gulet has an additional saloon below decks, perfect for chatting with friends, grabbing a drink, or reading a book.

On Shore

Gumbet excels among the Turkish holiday resorts: when the sun goes down, the town is aglow in neon lights and laser beams. Clubs, pubs and restaurants--and their music and noise--go from 9pm until the sun rises again.

Clubs

Popular venues include Club Posh, Club Mood and Mystery Disco-- provided you can deal with all the loud Eurodance and house music they play all night.

Bars

Bars like Smiley's and Roy's Place offer an atmosphere with a little less house music and a little more booze. The lighting can still be pretty funky, though.

Restaurants

Or you can try one of the many restaurants for something even quieter, or walk along Gumbet's beach and enjoy the people-watching. The food's good and so are the people - many of them tourists, this time of year.

Back on Camel Beach

Of course, you could just stay on the beach with the camels and the beautiful night sky. No one's stopping you.

Kaidan had been in a pretty good mood over the past week. Mostly. The maudlin had been passing, that was the thing. But with the night's entertainment much further away from the ships than before, melancholy was starting to set in.

He quietly detached from both the ships and the people and strode onto the beach, far away from the camels, and stared up at the stars.

There, Noveria, and there, Feros, and even further away, Ilos-- but those were just guesses.

Gert didn't feel a pressing need to prove that she was mature enough to sit in a room designated for adults only, but she was out of books to read, so it was either this or hang out on the beach and get more sand in her clothes. Not a very tough call.

She was only going to give it until the end of this local orange soda before giving up and going to turn in early, though.

After the couple days she'd had, Jaye (sans puppy, which had been returned to its owner this afternoon) figured she'd earned a drink. So to the quieter bar it was, and she'd just sit here and tell the bartender to keep them coming.

What, she was drinking slow.

Maddie picked this place mainly for the name. After last night's excursion to the club, she was ready for a quieter night, where she could mainly get some good food and people watch.

Mostly people watch.

Sun Deck - Hydra

When she was having her laziest vacation ever, Kitty didn't really feel like going all the way out for something to do. Instead, she parked herself on one of the chairs where she'd been spending a lot of her week, and tried not to fall asleep. Shh, it was relaxing.

Emily was getting drunk that night, because she needed to torture herself as much as possible in order to have a valid excuse of how shitty she was going to feel for completely different reasons the next day. It was a clever strategy and she was sticking to it.

Convincing the bartender to give her alcohol had been pretty simple, and she had the money to spare, so yeah, drinks were happening. Lots and lots. A part of Emily wondered if she was even going to make it to the boats, but the other one, a bigger one? Sort of wished she got left behind. At least that way she wouldn't need to talk to anyone tomorrow.
