Copacabana Palace, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Saturday Evening

It was the Fandomites' last evening in Rio, and the weather was still great and far warmer than Maryland, so there really was no reason for anyone not to take advantage of what little time they still had in Brazil.

So, good thing Rio still had a lot to offer, wasn't it?

The deluxe beach view rooms have stunning views of the world-famous Copacabana Beach and some feature Juliet-style balconies. All have king or twin beds, en-suite bathrooms which feature a bath with shower, air conditioning and high-speed internet for those students who would get twitchy without it.

Relax at the pool: The magnificent swimming pool at the Copacabana Palace has long drawn stars and royalty alike to sunbathe, swim and socialize. Everyone from Carmen Miranda to Rod Stewart has been seen soaking up the sun around the Copacabana pool, which is open 24 hours a day.

This hedonists' heaven by the celebrated Copacabana Palace pool is Rio's coolest place to see and be seen. Join the local style setters, step onto the golden floor and let it lead you into a sizzling space where 10,000 fibre-optic lights shimmer like stars in a velvet-black night sky.

It's the last night in Rio! Have you learned how to samba yet? If not, this is your last chance to take lessons, and then hit the town with one of the samba dancers from Carnival!

When the hard working people of Rio de Janeiro leave their offices in historic downtown they head to the restaurants and bars beyond the Arco do Teles. Join them in killing time, enjoying some cold drinks and soaking in the atmosphere in ancient cobblestone streets, and make sure not to miss out on one of the all-you-can eat churrascarias.

La la la, NewsRadio is randomly on.

Now Luke had said he wouldn't get drunk anymore, that didn't mean he wasn't gonna drink at all. He had a fruity and girly looking drink beside him and was sitting by the edge of the pool with his legs in the water. Nice way to spend his last evening in Brazil.

"I approve of your plan." Darcy informed him, also holding a girly drink and the exact same book she had not been reading all week. "Even if you're a liar about physics."

I approve!

"I'm a liar about a lot of things," Luke said. "But that one was an honest mistake."

Darcy pouted as she sat down and dangled her own legs into the pool. "What else did you lie about? Just so I know before I end up on a different planet and on fire or something." Darcy's logic didn't relate to normal logic.

"If I told you what I lied about there wouldn't be much point in lying," Luke said. "It's no fun for me."

"But then I'm on fire and blaming you!" Darcy pointed out.

"I doubt you'll be blaming while you were on fire," Luke said. "Besides, it'll be a life lesson not to believe everything you hear."

"Never underestimate my multi-tasking skills." Darcy informed him and took a drink form her drink.

With one last night here and some massage done on his shoulder earlier, Dave was spending another night at the pool because why not? It seemed like a good idea, and it was still getting him out a little bit.

Plus, it could be kind of cool for somebody from 1981 to meet Rod Stewart.

Rather than out clubbing or drinking as she'd been doing most of the week, Rebecca was spending the evening in the pool, just sort of floating around and glaring at the tourists who collided with her.

Classy, classy girl.

For the last night, Bruce wasn't going to wander far from the hotel. But he was going to make sure that his name was still bandied about a bit at the bar, so he decided to end the week the way he started it: buying a round for the house.

These kinds of acts in such a public place would really go a long way toward building his reputation back home once photos leaked to the Gotham press. And yes, a drink would be in his hand in every one of the photos. He'd made sure of it. Really, he was just making sure he had a head start with this reputation thing before he returned to Gotham.

Hanna considered going somewhere downtown tonight, but she'd already spent most of the day there. Instead, she opted to stay closer to the hotel. She was already more familiar with this bar, anyway.

Stacey had a Diet Coke that she was busy sulking into. She'd finally tracked Miguel down to talk to him and found out that he had a girlfriend. You'd think he could have mentioned that before she went and fell in love with him.

Maybe tomorrow would be better. And maybe she should stick to American boys for a while.

It seemed to be a quiet night for Fandom people at the bar, so it didn't take Bruce long to zero in on a friendly face.

"I see I'm not the only one making sure they enjoy their last night here," Bruce said as he walked over.

Feeling like she'd accomplished everything she really had to in Rio, Annie thought she could stay close to the hotel tonight. Like, at the hotel. And see the pool that she hadn't even gotten a glimpse of yet.

And look, she'd even go in it. She'd gone far beyond just seeing here, yes she had.

After the incident at the market, Cara wasn't in a mood to go too far from the hotel tonight, she wasn't going to say no to the fact some of her drinks were paid for by someone else either.
