The night is for terrible things, not the day, silly narrative revelers. Especially when the night is clear, warm, and filled with the sizzling sounds of sssssamba! It might be Lent now, but it's still Rio, and it's still Friday. Time for dancing on the sand, in the clubs, and if you think there's no dancing in the streets anymore, you must be walking down the wrong street. Turn left by the man with the saxophone; drop a tip in his hat and he'll tell you where to go from there.

"I'm not going home after graduation," Ben said. "I'm going with Ender."

Topher looked... well, a little surprised, but not a lot. He'd barely ever known Ben and Ender before they'd started dating, and even before that, he'd never known them to be especially separable. So.

"That's okay, then," he decided, totally seriously. "So -- is that, like, space?"

"Peter told me," Topher shared. "About how his sister's going to take forever to actually get places."

Ben nodded. "He won't see her again because of the way time will work for him," he said quietly. "It'll take us three years or something, but it'll be fifty years on their Earth, maybe more."

Ben bit his lip. "We're not sure," he admitted. "Fandom runs differently sometimes."

"But Peter's world runs like ours," Topher pointed out, looking almost concerned. "Kenzi and I were there, and it was... like, the same as here, I think. And Ender's should be the same. So if fifty years go by on his Earth..."

Topher sometimes thought he knew everything. Fancy that.
