Evening: Manta Resort, Zanzibar [Wednesday Night]

We can stop telling you not to get eaten! Now we move onto telling you not to drown! Welcome to the Manta Resort, located on Pemba Island in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The resort was designed to conserve the natural beauty of all 381.5 square miles of Pemba Island and the waters that surround it.

Breathtaking, isn't it? It's a balmy 84°/29° as we arrive with just enough cloud cover to make the incoming sunset another specular series of photographs. The weather won't deviate much from the low to mid 80s for the rest of the week, and the clear ocean water is just as perfect for swimming in.

Different vibe from Kenya, but hopefully just as relaxing a vacation! If you hate it, you can always go back to Maryland--it's going to be 35. Fahrenheit. Tomorrow. And wet.

These new rooms with the fish and everything were nice and all, but they definitely lacked a very clear and distinctive escape route of just being able to throw herself off a balcony if need be. So killing time at one of Summer's jello shot parties sounded like just the thing, and if she just so happened to have had enough that she couldn't even make it up the ladder by the end of the night, well...

It wasn't Summer's first party. She'd probably take it as a badge of honor if more people had to crash in her space. In a way, she was just being helpful, really...
